Performer and Teacher Lauren Busteed is on the show today!! Lauren is one of my dearest and closest friends. We met in College and went through the same theatre program together. We both left that program bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and built careers in the arts alongside one another, cheering each other on and also wiping away one another tears when the pressure and rejection of the industry got to us.

There have been periods of time where we have spent years apart, but we have always made time for one another on Skype dates, texts, Facebook messages, flying to see one another and being there when it really counts. We take on the challenges of life together and push each other to become the best version of ourselves. We hold one another to high standards because of the belief we have in one another. I am blessed to have this person in my life and I can’t wait to share her with you.

Now, before you think this episode is going to be a big gush fest with two close friends reminiscing and loving on one another (I have to admit there is some of that), this girl came ready to play.  Lauren has been on a transformative journey over the past two years and she is not about to let the lessons she has learned go to waste. Lauren cracked herself wide open in this interview and leaves nothing on the table. I think you will see yourself in Lauren and relate to her story leaving you empowered and ready to embrace your journey and move forward on your own creative journey.

In this episode, we discuss what you need ton consider if you would like to perform on a cruise line, her struggle with body image and her battle with bulimia and how she overcame it, and how after moving to another country to be with the person she loved and getting married her marriage shortly after fell apart, and how she was able to move forward, resulting in the most transformative experience of her life.
