Juno Award-Winning Musician/Songwriter/ProducerTeacher Ross Wilson is joining the conversation on Cue To Cue!

Sitting down with Russ was a complete joy. His big heart is front and centre as he shares his wisdom from years of being in the music business. There is no mistaking Russ’ passion for music. His passion for music over the years is as strong as ever. I asked Russ what he thought of the music industry as it is now and he believes there has never been a better time for artists to make work and get it out there.

Russ does not strike me as someone who lets much get in the way of his passion or one to make excuses. Russ’ positive energy is infectious and has a way of making one see things in a new light and that truly anything is possible if you willing to after your passion relentlessly.

Artists! Grab your favourite beverage and take notes! Russ delivers big time!

In this Episode:

  • How his love of music was shaped by spending summers on the border of Detroit and  going to Church
  • This importance of learning patience as an artist and how to learn to be patient
  • How to know when you need to acknowledge you are “green” and take advice from those who have come before you
  • As a producer, what he looks like when producing and artist
  • Why learning the business side of the music industry is the artist’s responsibility and imperative to the success of an artist.
